
Actor Khaled Khan’s 10th death anniv today

Today is the 10th death anniversary of popular theatre and TV actor of the 90s, Khaled Khan.
Born on 9 February 1958 in Tangail, he started his acting career with the theatre troupe Nagorik Natya Sampradaya in 1978. He gained huge popularity both on television and on stage for the numerous roles he played.
His negative role in the drama ‘Rupnagar’ made him very popular with the audience. His role in Humayun Ahmed’s ‘Eisob Dinratri’ was also particularly very popular.
He played more than 30 plays including ‘Dewan Gazir Kissa’, ‘Nurul Din er Sara Jibon’ and ‘Darpan’ for Nagarik Natya Sampraday and directed over 10 plays including ‘Putul Khela’ and ‘Kkhudito Pashan’.
He had also directed Subachan Natya Sangsad’s play ‘Rupaboti’.
He posthumous won the Ekushey Padak in 2022 for his contribution to the field of acting. He was often referred to as Juboraj by the contemporary theater personalities.
Noted Tagore singer Mita Haque was his wife.
Khaled Khan died in 20 December 2013 after suffering from motor neuron disease for 12 years.
