Awami League candidate Principal Abul Kalam Azad was elected by getting 2 lakh 1 thousand 171 votes in Gaibsndha-4 ( Gobindaganj) seat.
. In this seat, his nearest rival independent candidate (Truck ) 2-time former Awami League MP Engineer Manowar Hossain Chowdhury got 27 thousand 450 votes. Jatiya Party candidate (Langal Marka) Moshiur Rahman came 3rd with 4 thousand 308 votes.
The total number of voters in this seat is 4 lakh 39 thousand 925 people. The total number of votes cast is 2 lakh 38 thousand 110 votes. The total number of valid votes is 2 lakh 32 thousand 929 votes. The number of canceled votes is 5 thousand 181 votes.
