Absence of Principal at Bara Govt Degree College: Academic, official activities stalled

However, after the fall of the Awami League government on August 5, Lapatta is the controversial principal. He has been absent from college for more than a month. The academic and official activities of the college have collapsed in the absence of the principal.
According to college sources, the principal took a stand against the students who participated in the recent anti-discrimination student movement. The principal has sent the police at night to the houses of the students who participated in the movement of Bara Government College.
Meanwhile, he was absent from college for a total of 46 days from August 5 to September 20. His room is locked. Due to the presence of necessary documents in that room, the other teachers and employees who came to teach in the college are not able to sign the attendance book.
A teacher, who did not want to be named, said, "We have contacted the principal several times. But he will come, he has not come so far. Due to this, we have to face a lot of problems in managing the college. He also said, Sir, he has always taken care of the Deputy Speaker's family. Other teachers were also forced. There are also instances of harassment if he is not listened to. Besides, he was also one of the police chiefs who implemented irregularity and vote-stealing plans in every election in the fenced area.
Salman Hossain, coordinator of anti-discrimination student movement of Bera Government College, asked about blocking the students' movement, he said that there is a Facebook page of Bera Government College where students were asked not to participate in the movement.
Another coordinator. Tawfiq Hasan Raful said, we have faced obstacles in various ways during the anti-discrimination student movement. The administration has inquired by showing us pictures. Abdur Razzaq sir cooperated with police harassment, many of my comrades including me could not stay at home or sleep from last July 16 to August 5. A lot of me Awami League leaders and workers have to face threats.
In this regard, Principal Abdur Razzak asked about the complaint about not attending the college for a long time and he said, "I don't want to talk about this now." But soon I will join the college.
Bara upazila executive officer and acting president of the college. Morshedul Islam said, I don't know that Abdur Razzak, principal of Bara College, did not come to the college for 46 days. In between one day he came to college and called me. No written complaint has been received from the college in this regard. If complaints are received, action will be taken subject to investigation.
