Abdul Mohit Talukder gets National Fisheries Medal

Alhaj Abdul Mohit Talukder, Member of Parliament for Bogra-3 constituency, owner of GM Aqua Culture, a fish production company located in Kalaikuri village of Chatian village union of Adamdighi upazila of Bogura district, has received the National Fisheries Medal at George Institute Mini Stadium, Achmita Katiadi, Kishoregan on Sunday.
Alhaj Abdul Mohit Talukder, Member of Parliament for Bogra-3 constituency (Adamdighi-Dupchanchia), owner of GM Fisheries Farm, received the gold medal from the Honorable Prime Minister Mr. Tarique Rahman at the inauguration ceremony of the National Fisheries Medal-2026.
GM Fisheries Production Center has been able to make a special contribution to the national fisheries resources of the country by producing pangasius, koi, and tilapia fish for its special contribution to fish production. In recognition of which, the owner of the organization, Alhaj Abdul Mohit Talukder, Member of Parliament from Bogra-3 constituency, was awarded the National Fisheries Award-26. Earlier, in 2002, he received the National Fisheries Award from the then Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia for his special contribution to fish production. Apart from the National Fisheries Award, he has won several fisheries awards at the local and regional levels.
Regarding receiving the National Fisheries Medal-26, Alhaj Abdul Mohit Talukder, MP from Bogra-3 constituency, thanked Allah Almighty and said, "Alhamdulillah. I feel blessed to have been able to make a special contribution at the national level by producing fish in remote areas.
