81, 224 children will be fed vitamin 'A' capsules in Rangamati

From December 12, children aged 6-11 months and 12-59 months will be fed vitamin 'A' plus capsules in Rangamati. The District Health Department organized a press orientation at Rangamati on the occasion of the National Vitamin 'A' Plus Campaign-2023.
On Wednesday (December 6) at 11:30 a.m., Rangamati District Civil Surgeon Dr. Nihar Ranjan Nandi briefed about the program in the conference room of the Civil Surgeon's office. Deputy Civil Surgeon Dr. Shibli Safiullah and journalists were present in the event.
During this time, it is recommended to visit the nearest immunization service center of the respective area to give vitamin A plus capsules to the children of the specified age.
The civil surgeon said, this campaign, a total of 81 thousand 224 children of the district including Sadar will be fed vitamin 'A' plus capsules in accordance with health rules.
Among them are 9 thousand 359 children aged 6-11 months and 71 thousand 839 children aged 12-59 months. Besides, the number of disabled children is 26.
A total of 1314 centers in the district will be given vitamin 'A' capsules. Besides, there will be 10 permanent centers.
