7 Dec Chuadanga Freedom Day from Pak Invaders

Today 7 December is Chuadanga Independence Day. On this day in 1971, Chuadanga district bordering India was freed from invaders. On this day, in the face of fierce resistance from the freedom fighters and the Indian allied forces, after a bloody battle, the Pak forces left Chuadanga and fled towards the neighboring districts of Kushtia and Jhenaidah. Chuadanga was freed from invaders.

26 of 1971The final victory came on December 4, despite the fall of the Pak invaders in Jibannagar town of November district. Earlier on this day, under the command of Major Dutta and Burma, Commander of Indian Allied Forces and Captain Mostafizur Rahman, Commander of Sector 8, Banpur Sub-Sector, freedom fighters and allied forces jointly entered Jibannagar, Dattanagar, Hasadah Santoshpur, Rajapur, Dhopakhali and Madhavakhali from India through the Dhopakhali border of Jibannagar.
A surprise attack was made on the Pak Army. A bloody war began. At that time, Habildar Abdul Gafur, Naik Abdul Malek, Abdur Rashid, Sepoy Siddique Ali, Abdul Aziz and Abu Bakr were martyred in the frontal battle on the border of Rajapur and Madhavkhali. In the battle, the soldiers of 29 Baloch regiment of the Pakistani army were defeated by the joint forces and fled towards the neighboring district of Jhenaidah. At this time, Jibannagar police stationThe freedom fighters set fire to the jeep used by Munchur Ali, a female rapist and inhumane torturer of the outgoing Pakistan Army captain, and recovered the bodies of 7/8 unidentified young women who were recently killed after brutal torture from the police station warehouse. On the other hand, freedom fighters and allied forces launched guerilla attacks on Pak forces through Darshana and Damurhuda areas of the district.

As a result Chuadanga district is completely hostileThe path to liberation is smooth. Then on the evening of December 6, Pak forces blew up a part of the Mathabhanga river bridge facing Chuadanga city by detonating a powerful bomb. So that the freedom fighters cannot follow them. In the evening of December 7, Pak forces crossed Chuadanga town and Alamdanga and moved towards Kushtia. Then on this day in 1971, Chuadanga district was completely freed from the enemy. Spontaneous freedom mad on this dayThe freedom fighters first hoisted the red-green flag of independent Bengal on the ground of Chuadanga. Administrative action begins. Civil administration was introduced here by making Mustafa Anwar the Sub-Divisional Administrator. After nine months of bloody struggle, the brave freedom fighters of this district liberated Chuadanga on December 7, 1971. Chuadanga's contribution to the Great Liberation War is unforgettable.

Chuadanga was designated as the first capital. Also the dateApril 10 is scheduled. As the news became public in advance, for strategic reasons the first capital was built at Baidyanath Tala in Meherpur district on April 17 and the expatriate government was sworn in. Total freedom fighters in Chuadanga are 16,31 people. Among them, 156 people were killed. 17 freedom fighters were martyred in this battlefield. There are also two heroic symbols in this district. These children of the sun of Chuadanga braved the Pakistani forces in the great war of independenceThe fight made Chuadanga glorious. For this reason, Chuadanga district's illustrious position in the context of national pride is recognized in history.

Meanwhile, on the occasion of the day, various political, social and cultural organizations including Chuadanga District Freedom Fighters Sangsad have organized various programs. These include wreath-laying at Shaheed Smriti Stambha, victory rally, open discussion and screening of films based on the Liberation War.
