6 -kg of ganja seized from Dakatiya River in Chandpur by Coast Guard

The Coast Guard has seized 6 kg of ganja by raiding Dakatiya river in Chandpur on Monday afternoon.
Coast Guard Headquarters Media Officer Lt. Siam-ul-Haq confirmed this matter.
On the basis of secret information, a team of Bangladesh Coast Guard conducted a special operation in the estuary area of Dakatiya river in Chandpur district on Monday at approximately 0840 hours.
During the search of a passenger trawler bound for Shariatpur from Chandpur, a suspicious bag was spotted in the said trawler. Then the bag was searched and 6- kg of ganja was seized.
Later the seized ganja was burnt and destroyed in the presence of the Executive Magistrate.
