55 nominations submitted in 6 constituencies in Noakhali

In addition to the 6 candidates nominated by the ruling Awami League, rebel candidates of Jatiya Pati and Awami League have submitted their nomination papers on the last day of submission of nomination papers.

All these nomination papers were submitted to the offices of District Commissioner and District Returning Officer Dewan Mahbubur Rahman and Upazila Returning Officer in each upazila of the district from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on Thursday .

In six parliamentary seats, 55 candidates, including nominees of various political parties including Awami League, Jatiya Party, Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal-Jasad, Alternative Dhara, Communist Party of Bangladesh, Gano Front and independent candidates have submitted their nomination papers.

Noakhali-1 (Chatkhil-Sonaimuri partial) has a total of 11 candidates. Awami League nominated candidate HM Ibrahim submitted nomination papers. There are 2 rebel candidates of Awami League in this seat. Apart from Jasad, Ganofront, Tarikat Federation, Islami Front Bangladesh, Zaker Party, Bangladesh Congress, 11 candidates including 1 independent have submitted their nomination papers.

There are 13 candidates in Noakhali-2 (Senbagh-Sonaimuri partial) constituency. Awami League nominated candidate Morshed Alam. Apart from 4 rebel candidates of Awami League, 2 independent candidates including Jatiya Party, Jasad, BNF, Kalyan Party, Bangladesh Sansiktrik Mukti Jot, Zaker Party have submitted nomination papers in this seat.

Noakhali- 3 (Begumganj) Constituency total 11 candidates. Awami League nominated candidate Mamunur Rashid Kiran. There are 3 rebel candidates of Awami League in this seat. Jatiya Party, Communist Party of Bangladesh, Zaker Party, Jasad, Cultural Liberation Alliance and 2 independent candidates have submitted their nomination papers.

9 people have submitted nomination papers in Noakhali-4 (Sadar-Subarnachar) constituency. Awami League nominated candidate for this seat is Ekramul Karim Chowdhury. One rebel candidate of Awami League. Alternative candidate Abdul Mannan has submitted nomination papers for this seat. Apart from this, the candidates of Jatiya Party, Zaker Party, Jasad, Demokrati Party, Islamic Front and Cultural Liberation Alliance have submitted their nomination papers.

Noakhali-5 (Kompaniganj-Kabirhat) has a total of 5 candidates. Nomination papers were submitted on Wednesday on behalf of General Secretary of Awami League Party Central Awami League Obaidul Quader in this seat. But there is no rebel candidate or independent party. Apart from this, the candidates of Jatiya Party, Jasad, Islamic Front and Cultural Liberation Alliance submitted their nomination papers.

Noakhali-6 (Hatia) Constituency has 6 candidates. Awami League nominated candidate for this seat is former MP Mohammad Ali. Former MP Muhammad Ali's wife Ayesha Ferdous has submitted her nomination as an independent candidate. Apart from this, the candidates of Jatiya Party, Bangladesh Cultural Liberation Alliance and NPP have submitted their nomination papers.

Noakhali Deputy Commissioner and District Returning Officer Dewan Mahbubur Rahman said that on the last day of submission of nomination papers, a total of 55 nomination papers have been submitted by candidates of 16 political parties and independent candidates in 6 constituencies.
