Food packs weighing 48 kg were distributed among 500 beneficiary families of Patgram and Hatibandha upazilas of Lalmonirhat at Patgram Government Haji Abdul Gani College grounds.

Sawab's General Manager Lokman Hossain Talukder presided over the distribution and Patgram Hatibandha Development Forum President Md. Anwarul Islam Raju was present as the chief guest.

Principal of the college Md. Habibur Rahman, Sawab's IT and Media Manager Khorshed Alam, Assistant Manager of Program Department Abu Sayeed Mollah, Program Officer Aftabuzzaman, Jobayer and other prominent personalities of the area were present as special guests. Many of the underprivileged people of the area were happy to receive 25 kg of rice, 5 kg of oil and other groceries. They have never seen a program where 500 people lift 48 kg together in one field.

During that Ramadan, Sawab has planned to provide Ramadan gifts to 1 lakh helpless and poor people, a press release from Sawab said on Monday. On the other hand, tube wells were distributed among 13 families in Jaldhaka Upazila of Nilphamari with the help of Sawab.

Anwar Hossain (prominent businessman and president of IBW Jaldhaka Upazila) was present as a special guest. Md. Tajmul Hasan Sagar (President of Student Development Forum Nilphamari District Branch) was present as an invited guest. The chief guest of the program congratulated the great initiative of Shwab and mentioned that the month of Ramadan is a golden opportunity for the underprivileged people of the area to worship.

He also said that especially in that month of Ramadan, a season of worship for the Muslim community, he mentioned that the tube well will be of great use to the devotees during the month of Ramadan. He asked them to pray for the donors after fasting in the month of Ramadan and thanked them for standing by the hardworking devotees.
