50 women get sewing machines after training in Baliadiganj

After completing a three-month sewing training in Baliadangi, Thakurgaon, sewing machines and other necessary equipment were distributed to 50 helpless and unemployed women. This initiative was taken to create self-employment and make women economically independent.
Sewing machines were handed over to the trainees at a ceremony organized on this occasion at the Dawah Training Center adjacent to Ali Filling Station on the Baliadangi-Thakurgaon highway on Wednesday at 4 pm.
Under this program, organized by the Wellbeing Bangladesh Society and funded by the Global Relief Trust, the trained women were provided with various equipment including sewing machines, necessary fabrics, yarn, tables, tools, etc.
The program was chaired by Alhaj Babar Ali and moderated by Mufti Shariful Islam, Implementer of Wellbeing Bangladesh Society, with Baliadangi Upazila Executive Officer Anjan Kumar Das present as the chief guest.
Speaking as the chief guest, UNO Anjan Kumar Das said that training women to become skilled and creating self-employment opportunities plays an important role in strengthening the local economy. Praising such initiatives by the Wellbeing Bangladesh Society and Global Relief Trust, he said that by utilizing training, women can improve their own financial condition as well as that of their families.
At this time, he urged the trained mothers to send their children to school regularly and to keep them away from drugs and excessive mobile phone addiction.
Former president of Baliadangi Press Club NN Nurul Islam, businessman Faizul Islam, journalist Hasan Ali, and local dignitaries and trainees were present at the event.
