Fifty thousand leaders and activists of Gafargaon Awami League, Volunteer League, Jubo League and Chhatra League are going to join the grand rally of Awami League in the capital Dhaka.

Led by local MP Fahmi Golandaz Babel, Awami League Volunteer League, Jubo League and Chhatra League activists loaded four Dhaka-bound trains and left for Dhaka on Saturday morning to attend the Awami League's general meeting. Sheikh Hasina's government needs repeated slogans on the streets of Dhaka.

Thousands of leaders and activists from 15 unions of the upazila and 9 wards of the city came to Gafargaon Railway Station, Mashakhali Railway Station, Kawrayed Railway Station with a procession from early on Saturday.

Before 7 am, the station areas are crowded with people. Most of the activists of Awami League, Volunteer League Jubo League and Chhatra League have gone to Dhaka loaded on Dhaka-bound inter-city Yamuna, passenger commuter, inter-city Brahmaputra and mail train Bhawal Express. Those who could not board these trains due to overcrowding traveled by inter-city Howr Express train to Dhaka to attend the Mass meeting .

Convenor of Upazila Jubo League Salauddin Palash said, under the leadership of local MP and president of Upazila Awami League Fahmi Golandaz Babel, we are participating in the general meeting of Dhaka Awami League with 50,000 leaders and activists.

Fahmi Golandaz Babel MP is bearing all the expenses including the train ticket fare of the participating youths.

Gafargaon Upazila Awami League General Secretary Abul Kashem said 'We are united under the leadership of Jatiya Sangsad member Fahmi Golandaz Babel MP to make the general meeting of Awami League a success.

Upazila Awami League president and local MP Fahmi Golandaz Babel said that at least one and a half hundred union and ward-based workshops have been held in the upazila for the past few days to organize and energize the leaders and activists on the grand occasion of Awami League.

50,000 enthusiastic leaders and activists are participating in the Awami League General Assembly in a festive atmosphere. Gafargaon Awami League is vocal against the sabotage activities to resist the blockade called by the current BNP Jamaat.
