5 killed in private car-truck collision in Habiganj

Five people were killed and several other injured in a head-on collision between a truck and a private car in Madhabpur upazila in Habiganj.
The incident took place on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway in the Haritala area of the upazila around 1:30am on Thursday.
Rakibul Islam Khan, officer-in-charge of Madhabpur police station, said a private car carrying five people, including a returnee from abroad, left Dhaka at night. When they reached Haritala around 1:30am, they collided head-on with a Dhaka-bound truck. The private car was crushed.
