42nd Annual Commanders Conference of Army Service Corps held

The 42nd Annual Commanders Conference of the Army Service Corps (ASC) of the Bangladesh Army was held at the ASC Centre and School in Jahanabad Cantonment in Khulna.
Chief of Army Staff General S M Shafiuddin Ahmed was present as the chief guest at the conference on Wednesday.
Chief of Army Staff gave an opening speech to the Army Service Corps commanders and other officers present at the conference. He exchanged views on the development of the corps, enhancement of professional skills and various activities conducted at home and abroad.
He recalled the glorious heritage of Army Service Corps and its active contribution to the infrastructural development of the country in the service of the country.
Chief of Army Staff urged all the members of this corps to be always ready to face the challenges of 21st century through modern and up-to-date training.
The Army Chief laid wreaths at the ‘Songsoptok’ built in honour of martyrs at Jahanabad Cantonment and visited various military installations and gave necessary directions.
In the conference, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of Army Training and Doctrine Command (ARTDOC) Lt Gen Ahmed Tabrez Shams Chowdhury, Chairman of Sena Kalyan Sangstha Maj Gen Iftekhar Anis, Ad Hoc Construction Supervision Consultant Maj Gen A K M Rezaul Mazid and GOC of the 55th Infantry Division and Area Commander, Jashore Area Maj Gen Md Mahbubur Rashid, were present along with senior military officials.
