3 teens die in Gopalganj motorcycle crash

Three people have been killed after their motorcycle crashed into another vehicle in Gopalganj’s Kashiani Upazila.
The accident occurred around 6am on Friday in the Hiranyakandi area near the Sampan Highway Restaurant on the Dhaka-Khulna Highway, according to Md Rakibuzzaman, chief of Bhanga Highway Police Station.
The dead have been identified as Dipu Das, 18, Bishal Nag, 19, and Hridoy Mridha, 18 – all from Kashiani Upazila.
Dipu was a student in the ninth grade, while Bishal was a student in the eighth grade.
“The three young men were headed to Kalinagar area of Faridpur’s Boalmari Upazila by motorcycle on a trip to sample date juice,” said OC Rakibuzzaman. “On the way, they crashed into a car in the fog.”
“Dipu and Bishal were killed on the spot and Hridoy was taken to the Kashiani Upazila Health Complex in critical condition, where a doctor on duty declared him dead.”
The police official said that law enforcers are trying to identify the other vehicle involved in the crash. The bodies would be turned over to the families of the dead after legal formalities are completed.
