Under the theme "Pay land development tax regularly, keep your land secure , a three-day Land Fair started in Dohar Upazila at 10:30 am om Sunday.
The Fair was inaugurated at the Upazila meeting room, chaired by Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Tasfiq Sibgat Ullah and organized by the Upazila Land Office. The event was formally launched by Dohar UNO Tania Tabassum.
In her speech, UNO Tania Tabassum ssid, the primary objective of the Land Fair is to bring land-related services within the reach of the general public. She noted that citizens attending the fair can easily access services such as obtaining khatian, name transfer, land mutation, and paying land tax online. She expressed hope that this would reduce public inconvenience and increase trust in the land administration among the country's citizens.
Prior to the inauguration, a colourful rally was organized, starting from the Upazila Land Office premises and proceeding through the main streets of the upazila.
The event was attended by Dohar Upazila BNP General Secretary and former Upazila Vice Chairman Md. Masud Parvez, freedom fighters, political figures from various organizations, officials working at the Upazila Parishad, students from educational institutions, and people from various professions.
