3 clinics, diagnostic centers fined in Birampur, fake nurse arrested

A raid was conducted on various clinics and diagnostic centers in Birampur, Dinajpur on Monday following allegations of various irregularities. Upazila Executive Officer and Executive Magistrate Nuzhat Tasnim Aon conducted the raid.
After finding evidence of various irregularities during the operation, a mobile court imposed a total fine of Tk 45,000 on three clinics and diagnostic centers. Of these, Tk 10,000 was imposed on Raju Diagnostic Center located at Dhaka Intersection, Tk 20,000 on Modern Healthcare Clinic and Diagnostic Center located south of the Government Hospital, and Tk 15,000 on New Modern Clinic and Diagnostic Center.
During the operation, the police arrested a fake nurse working at the Modern Healthcare Clinic and Diagnostic Center. Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Lutfar Rahman, Sanitary Inspector Ismail Hossain, Police Sub-Inspector Amir Hossain, along with other officials and employees of the Upazila Administration and Health Complex, police and local journalists were present in the operation.
Upazila Executive Officer Nuzhat Tasnim Aon told reporters that such campaigns will be conducted regularly to stop harassment of patients seeking services at various clinics and diagnostic centers and to ensure proper service.
Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Lutfar Rahman said, "We are working relentlessly to ensure that people receive the necessary health services. Regular monitoring has been arranged at clinics and diagnostic centers to ensure that patients receive proper health services.
It is worth noting that there are 9 registered clinics and 20 diagnostic centers in Birampur Upazila, according to the Upazila Health Department.
