Human skeleton buried in yard recovered in Jashore

The recovery of a skeleton in Baniabahu village of Chanchra Union in Sadar upazila of Jashore has created a sensation in the area.
A local man named Liton saw an object resembling a human skull when the soil in front of his yard was moved by rainwater on Tuesday morning .
Later, he informed the locals about the matter, who informed the Chanchra outpost police
Upon receiving the information, SI Mamunur Rashid, in-charge of Chanchra police outpost, arrived at the spot with a team and excavated the place and recovered the human skull and various body parts.
Police said that the place from which the skeleton was recovered is part of the abandoned house of Shahidul Islam Montu, son of the deceased Oliullah Master of Baniabahu village.
Locals claim that Oliullah Master suddenly disappeared in 1977 and has not been found since then. A few days after his disappearance, his three children left the house and moved to Jessore town. Currently, his son Shahidul Islam Montu is alive.
Many locals believe that the recovered skeleton may be that of the missing Oliullah Master. At that time, someone killed him and buried his body in the ground and disappeared.
However, to confirm the matter, the police are preparing to send the skeleton for autopsy. In addition, the matter of DNA testing is also being considered, according to the relevant sources.
After this incident, panic and curiosity have arisen in the entire area. The local administration says that the matter will be investigated seriously.
