228 BGB platoons deployed across Bangladesh

As many as 228 platoons of the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) have been deployed across Bangladesh, including the capital Dhaka, to maintain law and order situation during the countrywide blockade enforced by BNP and other opposition parties.
The BGB headquarters confirmed the matter on Monday morning.
Besides, the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) said their 460 patrol teams are working across the country to keep law and order situation normal. Of the patrol teams, 160 are working in the capital.
After the three-day countrywide blockade that ended on Thursday, BNP, Jamaat-e-Islami, and other opposition parties are observing another 48-hour road, rail, and waterways blockade which began on Sunday morning.
The blockade will end at 6am on Tuesday.
