Atleast 20 people were killed and 24 injured in 24 road accidents in Sylhet division in September. This report was published by the Sylhet Divisional Committee for Safe Roads (Nischa).

According to the report, 24 people were killed and 24 injured in 24 road accidents in Sylhet division in September. Among the dead, 9 were motorcyclists and riders. Most of these road accidents have occurred in Sylhet district.

And the least number of road accidents have occurred in Sunamganj district. Eight people were killed and 13 injured in 10 road accidents in Sylhet district in September. 2 people were killed and 2 injured in 3 road accidents in Sunamganj district. 4 people were killed and 4 injured in 4 road accidents in Moulvibazar district and 6 people were killed and 5 injured in 7 road accidents in Habiganj district.

Co-Organizing Secretary of Nischa Central Committee, Member Secretary of Sylhet Divisional Committee and Convener of Sylhet District Zahirul Islam Mishu said in a statement sent to the media that 5 local dailies, online newspaper information, 2 national daily newspaper information, alleged unpublished or unpublished events and Nischa Sylhet branch organizations. Nischa Divisional Committee has prepared this report based on the information.

The report also mentions that 9 motorcyclists and riders, 3 CNG and Laguna drivers and passengers and 5 pedestrians were killed in road accidents in Sylhet division in September. Apart from this, 6 people were killed when the car overturned after losing control, 2 people were killed when they collided with an electric pole and a tree, while 8 drivers were killed. Besides, among the 20 people killed in September, 15 men, 3 women and 2 children are mentioned in the report.

It is to be noted that 20 people were killed and 44 injured in 19 road accidents in Sylhet division in August.
