1dead, 2 injured in collision between motorcycle and truck in Pakundia

A motorcycle rider named Ripon Mia (45) was killed in a head-on collision between a motorcycle and a truck in Pakundia, Kishoreganj.
Two others were injured. The deceased Ripon Mia is the son of the deceased Siddikur Rahman of Rajgati village of Nandail upazila of Mymensingh. The injured are Rafiq's son Abdul Momen (32) and Abdul Ali's son Mozammel Haque (35) of the same area. Locals rescued the two injured people and sent them to Kishoreganj Syed Nazrul Islam Medical College Hospital.
According to police and local sources, the accident took place on March 21 at around 7 am in Pakundia Upazila's Marura area. 3 people named Ripon, Abdul Momen and Mozammel Haque were going home from Gazipur to Nandail in Mymensingh due to the news of grandmother's death.
When they reached Marura area of Pakundia upazila, a truck leaving from Kishoreganj hit them. Ripon died on the spot. Locals sent two injured people to the hospital.
Confirming the road accident, SI Asad of Pakundia police station said that the killer truck escaped, the motorcycle was brought to the police station. Legal action in this regard is under process.
