15 people filed nomination papers for Panchagarh-1, Panchagarh-2, parliamentary seats

15 candidates filed nomination papers in Panchagarh for the purpose of contesting in the upcoming 12th Parliament elections. As per the EC schedule, yesterday (November 30) was the last day for submission of nomination papers.
According to the District Returning Officer's office, 11 candidates filed their nomination papers in Panchagarh-1 seat and 4 candidates in Panchagarh-2 seat.
According to the source, Awami League candidate Naimuzzaman Bhuiya (Mukta), Bangladesh Nationalist Party's Sirajul Islam, Zaker Party's Suman Rana, Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal's (JSAD) Farooq Ahmad, National People's Party (NPP) Moshiur Rahman Babu, Bangladesh Supreme Party (BSP) ) Abdul Wadud Badsha,Jatiya Party's Abu Salek, Zaker Party's Anichur Rahman, Bangladesh Jatiya Party's Milton Roy, Muktijot's Abdul Majid and independent candidate Aktarul Islam filed nomination papers.
Awami League candidate Alhaj Nurul Islam Sujan, Zaker Party candidate Md Shah Alam, Bangladesh Supreme Party (BSP) Ahmad Reza Farooqui, Trinamool BNP candidate Abdul Aziz, Jatiya Party candidate Lutfar Rahman Ripon filed nomination papers for Panchagarh-2 seat.
Note that as per the schedule scrutiny of nomination papers is from 1st to 4th December, appeal and disposal against cancellation of nominations is from 6th to 15th December, last day for withdrawal of candidature is 17th December, allotment of symbols is 18th December, election campaign will continue from 18th December to 5th January and elections will be held 7January.
