13 families allegedly being harrased by FF at Fulchari in Gaibandha

In Katlamari village of Gazaria Union of Fulchari Upazila of Gaibandhar, 13 families of that village have suffered due to the torture of freedom fighter Anshar Ali.
It is alleged that he is abusing the freedom fighter's power and harassing those families with one attack after another and false cases.
Freedom fighter Anshar Ali has filed 5 cases against them so far. The victim's family members held a press conference at Phulchari Upazila Press Club on Wednesday t to get rid of his attack and case.
On behalf of the victims' families, Lion Mia said in a written statement at the press conference, "On February 1, when I was drinking tea at a local tea shop, Anshar Ali and his two sons Zahidul Islam and Ratan Mia appeared there.
They got angry and told me, I filed so many cases against your family members, it is not working. From now on, there is no way but to cripple you by breaking your arms and legs. When I protested against such words, his son Jahidul Islam and Ratan Mia ambushed me. Meanwhile, the people around rescued me.
Later, Anshar Ali complained to the police and on the contrary, he arrested me from the mosque. After my arrest last February 3, freedom fighter Anshar Ali called National Emergency Call Service 999 and falsely accused my family of an attack at his house.
Immediately Ghazaria UP Chairman, local members and Police Station arrived at Anshar Ali's house and found no trace of the incident. The police left angry at them for harassing them with false information.
He said that Anshar Ali, under the influence of the freedom fighter, is forcibly occupying the ancestral lands of several families of Katlamari village. Even though the Batwara case related to our land with Anshar Ali is going on in the court, he does not appear there.
As his three sons are serving in the police and army, they use professional influence to intimidate us. We have already filed a case against them in court for the safety of our lives.
Former UP Member Abdur Rahim Madhu said, "Although Anshar Ali belongs to our family, he has filed four cases against us, including three cases of extortion of Tk 17 lakh 75 thousand in Phulchhari Police Station and one case in Gaibandha Administrative Court.
