13 arrested in Kamrangirchar special operation

Police have arrested 13 people involved in various crimes, including snatching, during a special operation in the capital's Kamrangirchar area.
The arrestees are Md Shafiqul Islam, 20, Md Tanvir Hossain, 22, Md Nayem Mollah, 20, Md Nahid Hossain, 20, Md Ripon Islam, 20, Md Shakib, 25, Md Sayem, 18, Nur Mohammad, 24, Md Kawsar, 20, Md Ramjan, 25, Md Sujan Kha, 30, Shahin Munshi, 40, and Md Shahed Khan, 35.
The arrests were made in a three-hour long operation conducted from 8:35 pm to 11:45 pm on Friday, said Assistant Commissioner (media) of DMP Jahangir Kabir.
According to Kamrangirchar Police Station, under the direction of the Deputy Police Commissioner of Lalbagh Division of DMP, the Assistant Police Commissioner of Lalbagh Zone, the Officer-in-Charge of Kamrangirchar Police Station, and the vigilant team of Kamrangirchar Police Station carried out the special operation in various crime-prone areas of Kamrangirchar, leading to the arrests.
The arrested individuals include identified drug dealers, snatchers, extortionists, criminals, and thieves. They have been sent to court for legal proceedings.
