
126 including Hasina sued over vandalism in Nilphamari

A case has been filed against ousted autocratic premier Sheikh Hasina, her cabinet members Obaidul Quader and Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal for vandalising BNP offices, businesses and other establishments in Nilphamari town on 4 August during student-led protests.
A leader from BNP’s Swechchhasebak Dal filed the case with a court in the district on Thursday.
In total, 126 people have been named as accused in the case and the aforementioned three Awami League leaders have been mentioned as masterminds behind the attacks.
Others accused in the case include Central Chhatra League President Saddam Hossain, former Nilphamari-2 lawmaker Asaduzzaman Noor, and several other district-level leaders of the Awami League, Swechchhasebak League, and Chhatra League.
An additional 300 unidentified persons were also named as accused in the case, read the case statement.
