The Science and Technology Fair-2025 organized by St. Joseph's School in Dinajpur has been inaugurated with colorful arrangements.

Dinajpur Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate Md. Rafiqul Islam inaugurated the fair on Thursday . The theme of the science and technology fair was "My Thoughts, My Inventions".

The inaugural ceremony was presided over by Sister Christina Lipi Desai, Headmistress of St. Joseph's School, and special guests included Prof Dr. Md. Shahadat Hossain Khan, former Chairman of the Department of Soil Science at Haji Mohammad Danesh University of Science and Technology, and Pawan Roy, Convener of the Science and Technology Fair Committee.

Chief guest Dinajpur Deputy Commissioner Md. Rafiqul Islam said, today's students are the future of the country. We have to develop ourselves as good people. We have to build a drug-free society. We have to build an enlightened life. He said to the students that they should respect their parents. They are the real teachers. Private, coaching, guide books should be avoided. It is possible to get a good education only by reading the original books. The books should be read by understanding them. You can read by drawing pictures. You cannot memorize them by understanding them. Only then will you get the right education.

In addition, former principal of St. Joseph's School Sister Helen Gomez, current assistant principal Sister Rosie Murmu were present. Sports teacher Md. Mamur was in overall support. Assistant teachers Beli Das and Rama Rani Saha were present to conduct the program.

The colourful arrangements included a school assembly, national anthem and party anthem, hoisting of the national flag, oath-taking, guard of honor, lighting of the Mangal lamp, dancing, releasing pigeons, a symbol of peace, and the opening of the science fair with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. 206 stalls were displayed at the science and technology fair.
