With the slogan 'Sabuje Shyamle Bachuk Pran', like every year, 1000 saplings of rare and endangered species were planted at Teota Jamindarbari premises of Shibalaya Upazila of Manikganj at 10 am on Saturday, October 5, under the initiative of 'Tarupallab', a voluntary organization for plant, nature and environment conservation.

It is known that there is a worldwide demand for selection and planting of highly sensitive plants for biodiversity conservation. Conservation of biodiversity is now one of the goals of all countries. Trees which are endangered and rare in Bangladesh, 'Tarupallab' trees have been collected from different parts of the country and arranged to be planted in protected areas.

In continuation of this, Teota organized Tarupallab tree plantation in the premises of Teota Zamindar house with the help of IDLC. Notable trees among these are: Civet, Tabebuia, Heimanti, Mahua, Deodaru, Hijal, Roskau, Sultanchampa, Lohakath, Telsur, Kankachura, Shal, Nageshwar, Gorjan, Janglibadam, Buddhanakel, Kainar, Daigota, Kanchan, Dadmardan, Dhakijam, Tamarind, Boilam, Pitraj, Palash, Sonalu, Dharmara, Agar, Udal, Swarnachampa, Jarul, Kurchi, Ashok, Kumbi, Telshur, Jacaranda, Defal etc.

Tarupallab Organization General Secretary Mokaram Hossain said, Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission Chairman Bird Watcher Jalal Ahmed, IDLC (Finance) Writer Golam Shafiq, Group Chief Finance Officer Masud Karim Mazumder, Head of DFR Farhana Sharmin, Digital Marketing Lead Khandkar Ragib Anwar, Shibalaya Upazila Nirbahi. Officer Md. Belal Hossain, journalist Babul Aktar Manjur, Tarupallab vice-president Shahjahan Mridha Benu, Executive Member Sahana Chowdhury, Imam Gazi, Urmi Lohani, Laila Ahmed and other local dignitaries were present.
