‘Hubba’ gets permission to release in Bangladesh

Popular actor Mosharraf Karim-starrer Tollywood film “Hubba” got permission to release in Bangladesh. The film is likely to hit the country’s theatre on 19 January on the same day of its premiere in West Bengal.

Confirming the matter, the importer of the film, Jaaz Multimedia has shared a post on their Facebook page. “We have received permission, now there is no obstacle to the release of Hubba. Watch Hubba on 19 January in theaters near you,” the post read.

The Authorities of Jaaz Multimedia also informed they will submit the film to the censor board today or tomorrow. If they get the clearance, they will release the movie in the theaters of the country on the same day as India.

Directed by noted Tollywood director Bratya Basu, the film is based on Hubba Shyamal, the top terrorist of Hooghly, West Bengal. Mosharraf Karim portrays the titular role in ‘Hubba’. The movie also stars Indraneil Sengupta, Poulami Basu, and Loknath Dey.

Hubba Shyamal, popularly known as Dawood Ibrahim in Hooghly of India, became a gangster in the late 1990s. Hubba Shyamal enjoyed the sole authority in the dark world of gangsters in Hooghly district.

He was sued in at least 30 cases, including murder, kidnapping and drug trafficking. Despite being arrested several times, he secured bail. After going missing in 2011, Shyamal’s decomposed body was found floating in the Vaidyabati canal.
