A day-long ‘Education USA Spring Fair’ was held at the Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban of Dhaka University on Tuesday with the participation of various US universities.

The US Embassy in Dhaka organized this fair to present various information and service activities related to admission to various US universities to the students of Dhaka University. Dhaka University Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan inaugurated the fair in the morning.

Dhaka University Pro-Vice Chancellor (Administration) Professor Dr. Saima Haque Bidisha, US Embassy Dhaka Director for Public Engagement Mr. Scott Hartman and senior officials of the embassy were present at the event.

Vice Chancellor Prof Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan expressed his sincere gratitude to the concerned for organizing the 'Education USA Spring Fair' and said that through this, Dhaka University students will be able to know important information related to higher education in various universities in the United States and will benefit from it. He expressed his hope that such an initiative will also play an effective role in establishing relations between Dhaka University and various renowned universities in the United States and launching joint cooperative education and research programs.

It is mentionable that stalls of 14 universities in the United States were placed in this fair. Representatives of the concerned universities provided various information including admission and scholarships to their respective universities to the students of Dhaka University. In addition, a seminar on visa processing in the United States and application processes and scholarships in various universities was held on the occasion of the fair.
