
‘Animal’ finally hits Bangladeshi theatres today

Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor-starrer film ‘Animal’ is set to hit the country’s theatre today. According to sources, the Sandeep Reddy directorial film received censor clearance in Bangladesh on Tuesday.
The much-hyped film was released worldwide on 1 December. Five days after its release, ‘Animal’ is going to be released in Bangladesh. Kibria Films is the importer company to showcase the movie in Bangladesh.
Meanwhile, ‘Animal’ has earned Rs 481 crore gross at the worldwide box office within five days of the release.While it is running successfully in theatres, a section of critics and viewers have slammed ‘Animal’, calling it misogynistic and graphically violent.
Animal stars RanbirKapoor alongside Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, RashmikaMandanna, TriptiiDimri, Suresh Oberoi, Shakti Kapoor, and Prem Chopra. The film is based on a troubled relationship between Ranbir as Ranvijay Singh and his father Balbir Singh, played by Anil Kapoor, against the backdrop of a violent world of crime and underworld.
To note: Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Pathaan’ marked the beginning of Hindi films being released in Bangladesh, followed by SRK’s ‘Jawan’ and Thalapathy Vijay’s ‘Leo’. Now, RanbirKapoor’s‘Animal’ has become the fourth Indian movie to be released in Bangladeshi theatres.
