'Startup, Science Project and Innovative Idea Demonstration Program held in Goalanda

'Startup, Science Project and Innovative Idea Demonstration Program-2026' was held in Goalanda, Rajbari with the theme 'Intellect-Science, a country of innovation; Bangladesh first'.
The program was organized by the Upazila Administration and Upazila Secondary Education Office at the Goalanda Upazila Parishad auditorium on Friday at 10 am. Goalanda UNO Sathi Das presided over the program. Upazila Secondary Education Officer Jayanta Kumar Das moderated the program.
Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Md. Muntasir Hasan Khan was present as a special guest. Apart from this, Upazila Social Service Officer Md. Ruhul Amin, Upazila ICT Officer Md. Nizam Uddin, teachers and students of various educational institutions were also present.
Speaking as the chief guest at the event, Upazila Executive Officer Sathi Das said that such events play an important role in developing scientific mindset, creativity and innovative thinking among students. He said that the young generation must be more involved in research, innovation and scientific practice to build a technology-based and smart Bangladesh.
The program was presented by Md. Taibur Rahman, senior teacher of Chowdhury Mahbub Hossain Girls High School.
A total of 11 educational institutions of the upazila participated in the program. The participating institutions are—Daulatdia Model High School, Jamtala High School, Chowdhury Mahbub Hossain Girls' High School, Sunshine Collegiate School, Goalanda Proper High School, Goalanda Nazir Uddin Pilot Government High School, Shahajuddin Mandal Institute, Lotus Collegiate School, Goalanda Government Technical School and College, Government Goalanda Kamrul Islam College and Rabeya Idris Women's College.
Students presented their various science-based projects, technology-based innovative ideas, and startup plans at the exhibition. The organizers expressed hope that the event will play an important role in developing scientific thinking and problem-solving skills among students.
At the end of the competition, Goalanda Government Technical School and College won first place in the judges' evaluation. Government Goalanda Kamrul Islam College came second and Shahajuddin Mandal Institute came third.
At the end of the program, certificates and crests were distributed among the winners. The organizers said that such programs will continue in the future to further involve students in science and innovation-based activities.
