various issues related to quality improvement in higher education, research and innovation, teacher training, and the Higher Education Acceleration and Transformation ( HEAT ) project were discussed.
At that time, Sherezad Monami Latif, Practice Manager of the World Bank's Education and Skills Global Practice, Senior Education Specialists T M Asaduzzaman and Abdul Hai Sofizada and Consultants Dr. Mahmud-ul-Haq and SM Hafiz Al Mamun, HEAT Project Project Director Professor Dr. Asaduzzaman, Senior M&E Officer Md. Moklesur Rahman, Deputy Director Mohammad Shahidul Islam, Senior Program Officer A J M Hasan Kabir, Program Officer Parveen Akhter, Dean of UTTA Professor Dr. Laila Noor Islam, Research Coordination Specialist Professor Dr. Mohammad Moninur Rashid and Faculty Professional Development Specialist Professor Dr. Md. Abdus Salam and concerned teachers and officials were present.
During the exchange of views, the proposals, implementation progress and future activities of various sub-projects under the HEAT project were reviewed. The possibility of expanding training opportunities for teachers and researchers at the university and establishing a training center was also discussed.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. ABM Obaidul Islam highlighted the education, research and innovation activities of Dhaka University and stressed the importance of cooperation in improving the quality of higher education and enhancing research capacity.
