VC talks to high officials of law enforcers : DU administration urges swift justice in meritorious student Samya murder case

The University of Dhaka administration has urged for the swift resolution of the murder case of Shahriar Alam Samya, a meritorious student of the Institute of Education and Research at Dhaka University.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan talked to senior officials of the law enforcement agencies regarding the matter on Saturday.
During the discussion, the police informed that they have obtained several important pieces of information from the arrested individuals, which are currently being analyzed.
Besides, to clarify some aspects further, the accused have been taken into another three-day remand. The police assured that the motive behind the murder will be revealed soon, and the perpetrators will be brought to justice.
It is to mentioned that following Samya’s murder, the University of Dhaka administration has been actively working to ensure a fair trial and strengthen security measures on campus. In this regard, Proctor Associate Professor Saifuddin Ahmed has been maintaining continuous communication with the concerned authorities.
