UGC team visits CCN University of Science and Tech for permission extension review

A delegation from the Bangladesh University Grants Commission (UGC) visited CCN University of Science and Technology in Comilla to review the extension of its temporary operational permission.
Led by UGC Member Prof Dr. Mohammad Anwar Hossain, the five-member committee conducted the inspection on Saturday.
The team examined the university’s designated land, laboratories, library, classrooms, and other physical infrastructure on-site. The delegation included Dr. Md. Sultan Mahmud Bhuiyan, Director of the Private University Management Division; Md. Rezaul Karim Hawladar, Director of the Finance, Accounts, and Budget Division; Md. Sultan Mahmud, Additional Director of the Private University Management Division; and Md. Amirul Islam, Assistant Secretary of the Administration Division.
The committee was formed to thoroughly assess whether the private university has met all conditions for the second extension of its temporary permission.
The UGC team discussed with the university authorities to ensure the quality of education, enhance research standards, and raise awareness about academic excellence among students. During the visit, Dr. Md. Tariqul Islam Chowdhury, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, along with other BOT members, the Vice-Chancellor, Treasurer, Registrar, and relevant officials, were present.
