Two sisters die while bathing in Subarnachar pond

Two sisters tragically died while bathing in a pond in Subarnachar, Noakhali.
The incident took place on Sunday afternoon at Krishna Kahar's house, adjacent to the mosque market in ward number 7 of Char Aman Ullah Union of the upazila.
The two deceased sisters are Swarna Rani Kahar (7) and Rupa Rani Kahar (5). They are the daughters of Krishna Kahar of the house.
According to local sources, Krishna Kahar's wife Pinki Rani was in the bathroom on Sunday afternoon. At that time, her two daughters went to bathe in the pond at home. Later, after leaving the washroom and not seeing the girls at the pond ghat, she went to her grandfather's house next door to look for them. Not finding them there, she returned home. At one point, Pinki Rani saw bubbles rising on the water while looking at the pond. Suspicious, she immediately jumped into the pond and started searching. Later, she recovered the bodies of the two girls from the pond.
Ashraf Hossain, SI of Char Jabbar Police Station, who visited the scene, said that after receiving the information, the police inspected the scene. An autopsy report was prepared on the bodies of the two children on the spot. Since the families had no complaints, the bodies were handed over to their relatives without an autopsy.
