Two-day beach carnival festival to be held in Kuakata

To attract tourists to Kuakata, which is famous for its immense beauty of sunrise and sunset from the same place, a two-day Beach Carnival festival or Kuakata Tourism Carnival 2026 is going to be held on October 23 and 24. Around this event, tourism stakeholders are being brought together to develop Kuakata as a modern tourism center.
A meeting was held on the occasion of 'Kuakata Tourism Carnival 2026' at the conference hall of Kuakata's Parjatan Holiday Homes, organized by the Bangladesh Tourism Corporation on Sunday at 4 pm.
Previously, the Beach Carnival was held in 2017. After a long break, the Kuakata Beach Carnival is going to be held on October 23 and 24.
The meeting was chaired by Bangladesh Tourism Corporation Chairman Md. Shamimuzzaman and was chaired by Alhaj ABM Mosharraf Hossain, Central BNP Training Affairs Secretary and Patuakhali-4 MP. The special guest was Bangladesh Tourism Corporation Director Md. Gani ul Azam.
Besides, Patuakhali District Council Administrator Snehangshu Sarkar Kutty, Barisal Divisional DIG (Tourist Police) Orniban Chakma, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Yasin Sadek, along with representatives of various tourism-related organizations, businessmen, hotel-motel owners, entrepreneurs and local stakeholders were present.
The organizers said that this year's carnival is being organized to highlight the tourism potential of Kuakata at home and abroad and to make the region more attractive to tourists. The beach and surrounding areas are being decorated, cleaned and necessary preparations are being made for the carnival.
The carnival will feature various events including beach camping, beach football, quiz competitions, cultural programs, beach festivals, book readings, pre-events, etc. There will also be various programs focusing on local products, food, and tourism.
