Two Chatra Dal Leaders expelled in Lalmonirhat

Two Chhatra Dal leaders were expelled from their organization within 24 hours. One was arrested with heroin, while the other was accused of violating party discipline in Lalmonirhat on Friday.
Rabiul Islam (30), Vice-president of the Panchgram Union Student League, was arrested with eight packets of heroin and drug paraphernalia in the Khodar Gachh area. Police caught him red-handed during a patrol. Following the incident, the Lalmonirhat District Student League expelled him immediately to protect the organization's image.
On the same day, Shariful Islam, president of the Tongbhanga Union Student League in Hatibandha Upazila, was also expelled. Local leaders accused him of long-term disciplinary violations.
Abdullah Al Noman, secretary of the Hatibandha Upazila Student League, stated, "No one involved in anti-party activities will be spared. The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) does not tolerate criminals."
