Two arrested with equipment for making fake foreign currency in Chapainawabganj

RAB has arrested two people with equipment used to make fake foreign currency in Chapainawabganj.
They were arrested during a raid on a house in the Arambagh-Balubagan area of the city around 10 pm on Saturday (August 8). During this, 25 bundles of fake currency notes from different countries and equipment for making fake currency were seized.
Additional Superintendent of Police Iftekhar Hossain Mahmud, in-charge of RAB-5's Chapainawabganj camp, confirmed this information.
The arrested persons are Tosiqul Islam, son of Monirul Islam of Manaksha area of Shibganj upazila of Chapainawabganj, and Shamim Ali, son of Saidur Rahman of Mandimor area of Niamatpur upazila of Naogaon.
RAB officer Iftekhar Hossain Mahmud said that based on a secret tip-off, a raid was conducted on a three-storey house in Arambagh-Balubagan area on Saturday night. During that time, 25 bundles of fake currency notes of different countries and other equipment for making fake currency were recovered from there. Tasiqul Islam and Shamim Ali were arrested from the scene.
According to RAB, the two arrested worked as counterfeit currency makers.
