Two arrested as Ansar thwarts theft attempt at Ghorashal Fertilizer Factory

Embodied members of the Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Party (VDP) intercepted a theft attempt and apprehended two men red-handed at the Ghorashal Fertilizer Factory-1 premises in Polash Upazila.
The incident occurred around 10:00 pm on Sunday during a routine security patrol conducted by an Ansar team led by PC Md. Sanoar Hossain, alongside Ansar members Md. Jafar Miah and Md. Sumon Palwan.
Law enforcers noticed suspicious movements inside the factory grounds as two individuals attempted to steal valuable industrial machinery and materials. The patrol team pursued and cordoned off the area, detaining the suspects on the spot and preventing critical infrastructure loss.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Masud Akond, 40, and Kamrul Miah, 35.
Following administrative instructions from senior officials, both suspects were handed over to the local police station for formal processing under the relevant provisions of the Penal Code. Ansar and VDP authorities reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining security across key state-owned establishments and industrial facilities.
