Those who insulted VC are enemies of state, people: Land Minister

Land Minister Mizanur Rahman Minu has termed those who harassed the Vice-Chancellor and officials and employees of Rajshahi Medical University (RAMU) as enemies of the state and the people. He said, 'The criminals do not have any party. They do not have any party identity. All those involved in this incident will be brought to justice.
The minister said these things while visiting the office of the Vice-Chancellor of Rajshahi Medical University and meeting him on Thursday night. During this time, he respectfully seated the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr. Mohd. Jawadul Haque, in his chair and had a tea party.
The Land Minister said, "We express our regret for this unfortunate incident and do not want to see a repeat of such incidents. It is not desirable to insult an academician in this way. After hearing about the matter, I have given instructions to normalize the situation. If anyone tries to create chaos, it will not be accepted. No mob culture will be allowed to be created in Rajshahi."
Highlighting the progress of the university, the minister further said, "The university has already made some progress. Approval for the hospital has been received, which will be implemented gradually." He also thanked the journalists for publishing the news at the right time and informing everyone about the matter.
Advocate Shafiqul Haque Milon, Member of Parliament for Rajshahi-3 constituency, said at the event, "We have been trying to normalize the situation since we heard about the matter. We do not want to see such incidents again."
Among others present at the event were RAMEB Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Mohd. Jawadul Haque, Rajshahi City Corporation Administrator Md. Mahfuzur Rahman Riton, Rajshahi Metropolitan Police Commissioner Mohammad Fayezul Kabir (PPM), Rajshahi Development Authority Chairman Abul Kalam Azad Sweet, Rajshahi Metropolitan Jubo Dal convener Shariful Islam Joni, Metropolitan Volunteer Dal member secretary Asaduzzaman Joni, former Metropolitan Chhatra Dal president Akbar Ali Jacky and Metropolitan Chhatra Dal member secretary Emdadul Haque Limon.
Besides, other university officials and employees and leaders and activists of BNP and its affiliated organizations were also present there.
