Students of Health Informatics of BUHS perform thesis defense

Department of Health Informatics of Bangladesh University of Health Sciences (BUHS) organized thesis defense for five students of its MS program. The session was held on 30 July, 2022 at the Lecture Hall of the University. Dr. Md Zahidul Islam, Brig. Gen. Dr. Brayan Bankim Halder, Brig Gen. Dr. AFM Rafiqul Islam, Md. Fojlay Rabbi and Animesh Biswas successfully defended their thesis.
Prof Dr. Shahadat Hossen, Director, Management Information System (MIS) of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) and Prof Dr. Aminul Islam, Director (Admin) of Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons (BCPS) were present as external examiners of the board. Prof Dr Faridul Alam, Vice-Chancellor of the University was present in the session.
He said that the research outcomes would be very much helpful for planners and policy makers in implementation of various development strategies to meet the challenges of health sector. Prof Dr. Sharmin Parveen, Dean, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences and Head of HI Department congratulated the students for successful thesis defense. She supervised all the theses and Mr. Aminul Islam, Assistant Professor of the department co-supervised three of them.
BUHS has been putting high priority on quality research since its inception in 2012 to generate evidence based suggestions that can help the planners and policy makers to develop better health care programs in the country.
