Seminar on 'Cyber Security Awareness Month October' held at CAAB

A seminar organized by the Information Technology (IT) Department of Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB)
was held on Tuesday at CAAB Headquarters, to mark the celebration of the “Cyber Security Awareness Month” in October.

This seminar was organized to make officers and employees at different levels aware of cybersecurity and to enhance the knowledge and skills necessary to protect personal and institutional information in the online world.
The chief guest was Air Vice Marshal Md Mostafa Mahmood Siddiq, Chairman of the CAAB. The president was Air Commodore Abu Sayeed Mehboob Khan, Member (Management and Planning) of the Air Force. In addition, Khandaker Azizur Rahman, Senior System Analyst of the IT Department of the Air Force, gave a presentation on technical issues.
Various programs were organized at the event, including banner display, leaflet distribution, presentation on "Safe Online Life", quiz competition, and prize distribution.
In his speech, the Chairman of CAAB said, "Today we are gathered here as part of the celebration of Cyber Security Awareness Month - October 2025. Cyber security is very important in the current times, as cyber attacks and cyber risks are increasing day by day worldwide. Taking necessary measures to protect cyber security and address risks is a fundamental responsibility for every member of the aviation sector. Even a slight negligence in our daily work can create major cyber risks. Therefore, it is possible to create a safe and reliable cyber environment by being aware and following basic security rules. He further said that aviation is a global field where the activities of every country are interconnected. If a cyber attack occurs in any one organization, its impact can also be felt at the international level. Therefore, cyber security is now the demand of the hour, and it is not only the responsibility of IT experts, but also of everyone."
Members of CAAV , directors, deputy directors, officials and employees of various levels, and media persons were present.
