Satkhira Police Super Md. Monirul Islam has given bad news to those involved in the production and marketing of adulterated milk in Satkhira. 

In a press conference on Sunday afternoon, he said that after arresting two members of the adulterated trading gang, the police super said that a strict stance will be taken against the others in the gang. Earlier, on Saturday (April 5) night, a raid was conducted in Habaspur village of Satkhira Sadar upazila and 260 liters of milk, ghee, cream, soda, caustic and a milk making machine were recovered from a factory producing adulterated milk. Two members of the gang have been arrested.

Meanwhile, District Police Super Md. Monirul Islam said in a press conference on Sunday afternoon that the district police wants to see zero tolerance against those producing and marketing adulterated food. Such crimes are a threat to human health. As a result, the police are conducting regular raids in this regard.

He said that two members of the gang were arrested in a drive conducted on the basis of secret information. Their statements revealed that 30-35 more people are involved in making adulterated milk and ghee in different areas of the district. 

The DB police is continuing its intelligence surveillance to identify them. The Superintendent of Police said that this gang had been supplying adulterated milk to the market of famous brands like Milk Vita and BRAC for a long time. This is posing a serious threat to public health. We are not only conducting the drive, but also continuing the work of increasing awareness among the people.

He urged the general public to be aware and requested them to inform the law enforcement agencies if they come across any adulterated gang or information.
