
3 students nominated for ‘President’s Scout Award’ from Chandpur

Three students from Balakhal Chandraban Girls High School in Hajiganj, Chandpur have been nominated for the ‘President’s Scout Award’, the highest award of Bangladesh Scouts. The nominees are Tanjila Akhter, Sabikun Islam Inta and Farhana Akhter. The matter was informed in a notification signed by the Director of the Program Department of Bangladesh Scouts, Mosh. Mahfuza Parveen.It is learnt that on January 30, the evaluation camp for the candidates of the national level President’s Scout Award and President’s Rover Scout Award was held at the National Scout Training Center in Mouchak, Gazipur.Where the scouts who have passed the written exam at the national level participate in the President’s Scout Award exam. Apart from this, they have to be selected through a long-term process and pass the written, oral, practical and swimming exams at the district, regional and national levels to achieve this highest award. After successfully completing all these steps, they were nominated for the ‘President’s Scout Award’.The nominated students said, “Achieving the ‘President’s Scout Award’ is a dream of every scout in our life.This is the biggest achievement in our lives. Since the beginning of our scouting life, we always dreamed of achieving this honor. Today, that dream has become a reality. For receiving this award, we express our deepest gratitude to our family, school, classmates, all the leaders involved, including Begum Noor-e-Hasna and Md. Shariful Islam Sir, and all the members of the scouts.
