Retired Principal Akhter Hossain passes away in Gafargaon

Retired Principal Akhter Hossain of Gafargaon Govt College and father of Professor Arshad Ahmed Asad, a member of Gafargaon Press Club in Mymensingh, Principal Akhtar Hossain (86) passed away on Wednesday night at his residence on Mohila College Road in the municipal town due to old age ( Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi rajiun).
At the time of his death, he left behind numerous admirers, including five sons and a daughter.
The first janaza of the deceased was held at Gafargaon Government College grounds at 11:30 am on Thursday, and the second janaza was held at Charkatihari Boro Bari Eidgah grounds in Hossainpur Upazila after Zohr, and he was buried in the family graveyard.
College teachers and working journalists of Gafargaon expressed their condolences on his death.
