
Qualitative enrichment must be achieved in education, research: BRUR VC

Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Shawkat Ali said that besides taking classes and examinations, another important task for teachers is to be involved in research activities and produce good researchers. If we can achieve qualitative enrichment in education and research, Begum Rokeya University will come further ahead in the rankings.
The Vice Chancellor made these remarks on the second day of the workshop titled 'Proposal Writing for National and International Grants' organized by the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) in the virtual classroom of Academic Building-2 on Thursday morning as the chief guest.
At the time, he also said that research grants are the most important thing to become a good researcher or to conduct quality and up-to-date research activities. The Vice Chancellor said that the more research grants teachers can collect, the more their recognition and acceptance in the international arena will increase.
The workshop was presided over by Prof Dr. Md. Tajul Islam, Director of IQAC of Begum Rokeya University. The keynote speaker of the workshop, Professor Dr. Md. Abdullah Yusuf Al Harun, of the Environmental Science Discipline of Khulna University, discussed in detail various strategies for researchers to write research proposals in order to collect domestic and foreign grants.
Teachers from various departments of Begum Rokeya University participated in the two-day workshop. Additional Directors of BRUR, IQAC Dr. Md. Abdul Latif and Dr. Md. Abdur Rakib were present at the time.
