JU Prof Dr Monwar Hossain honoured with National Wildlife Conservation Award

Dr. Md. Monowar Hossain, a professor in the Department of Zoology at Jahangirnagar University (JU), has been nominated for the prestigious National Wildlife Conservation Award 2025 in the category of Wildlife, Education and Research.
The Ministry of Environment, Forest, and Climate Change issued this announcement on June 18, 2025.
In a congratulatory message, JU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Mohammad Kamrul Ahsan expressed pride in Dr. Md Monwar Hossain’s achievement.
“This recognition not only honors Dr. Md Monwar Hossain’s exemplary contributions also elevates the reputation of Jahangirnagar University,” said JU Vice-Chancellor .
He also extended his best wishes for Dr. Hossain’s continued success.
Dr. Md Monwar Hossain is a devoted researcher and educator. He has made significant contributions to biodiversity conservation in Bangladesh.
