Monira Khatun, a 36th batch Civil Service (Administration) cadre officer of the Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS), is currently serving as the Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) and Executive Magistrate in Shahrasti Upazila under Chandpur district.
Monira Khatun completed her higher education at Bangladesh Agricultural University in Mymensingh. Both she and her spouse hail from Cumilla district. Her husband is also a BCS cadre officer currently posted as the UNO of Itna upazila. She is the mother of a daughter.
Earlier in her career, Monira Khatun served as the Assistant Commissioner (Land) in Ramganj Upazila under Lakshmipur district. Following her promotion, she received her initial posting as UNO in Charbhadrasan Upazila under Faridpur district. Upon transfer from Faridpur and attached to the Chattogram Divisional Commissioner's Office, she officially assumed charge as the UNO of Shahrasti Upazila on May 18, 2026, succeeding outgoing UNO Naziya Hossain.
Along with her primary executive responsibilities in Shahrasti, the government vested Monira Khatun with Certificate Officer powers under Section 3(3) of the Public Demands Recovery Act, 1913. Operating as an Executive Magistrate in field administration, she oversees local law enforcement, mobile court operations, public education initiatives, and regional development programs.
