Press Club Nakla forms New Committee : Rana President, Rijon General Secretary

Press Club Nakla has formed a new committee for a one-year term, with Shafiuzzaman Rana, a journalist with the daily Desh Rupantor, as President and Nahidul Islam Rijon of Jatiya Arthaniti as General Secretary on Monday.
The other office-bearers include Shafiul Alam Lavlu as senior vice-president, Delwar Hossain and Arifur Rahman as vice-presidents, and Md Sajib Mia, Rakib Hasan Robin and Mustak Ahmed as joint general secretaries.
Masum Billah Rakib has been named organising secretary, while Abdullah Al-Amin has been appointed assistant organising secretary. Nayan Sheikh is the office secretary, Zahirul Islam the treasurer, Raisul Islam Rifat the publicity and publications secretary, and A M Firoz the literary secretary.
Mahadi Hasan has been given responsibility for welfare and the fund, while Ainul Naim has been appointed sports secretary. The committee also includes 10 executive members.
The newly formed committee is expected to strengthen the organisation's activities, promote cooperation among journalists and encourage professional, responsible journalism in the area.
