Popular local eatery 'Mollar Khichuri' celebrated its first anniversary with a colorful cake-cutting ceremony at its main branch in Faridpur town on Wednesday noon.

The event, held at the restaurant's premises adjacent to the Zilla School on the town's main road, was inaugurated by Mahbub Hossain Pial, General Secretary of the Faridpur Press Club and President of the District Khichuri Festival Committee, who attended as the chief guest.

The anniversary celebration was presided over by the proprietor of Mollar Khichuri, Md. Sohanur Rahman Sohan, and moderated by Ruhul Amin. The event drew a large gathering of local dignitaries, journalists, and political figures, including BNP leaders Md. Shahin Haque, Selim Hossain, and Md. Kamal Hossain. Also in attendance were Independent Television representative and Faridpur Press Club Office Secretary Masudur Rahman Tarun, Editor of the Daily Kumar Patra and Press Club Executive Member S M Rubel, cultural personality Kamrul Hasan Jewel, and Faridpur Tour and Travels Director Rajan Sarkar. Jubo Dal leaders Md. Ashfaq, Md. Said, Md. Rofiq Sarder, Rubel Khan, Ranabir Russel, Aminul Islam, and Joni Mondol, along with professionals from various fields, were also present to felicitate the establishment.

Addressing the gathering, the speakers lauded the restaurant for earning the absolute trust of the residents of Faridpur within a short span of one year through consistent food quality and excellent customer service. They expressed optimism that the eatery would maintain its high culinary standards and service in the coming years. To mark the milestone, the management of Mollar Khichuri announced a special two-day 20 percent discount on all khichuri items for its customers, which will remain valid until Thursday, June 25. The restaurant authorities concluded by noting that the outlet remains open to the public daily from 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM.
