BNP Standing Committee member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury said that those who were not part of the movement to restore the people’s voting rights are now saying that it’s better not to have elections. They are trying to take advantage of the situation. But the people will not allow them to do so for long. The people of Bangladesh will not recognize anyone’s authority without elections. The message of the people is clear for those trying to prevent elections – they will not be forgiven, and their wishes will never be fulfilled in Bangladesh.He made these remarks on Thursday (May 1) in the afternoon, while addressing a grand workers’ rally organized by the Chattogram divisional wing of the BNP’s Labor Wing on the occasion of International Workers' Day. The event was held in front of the BNP office at Nasimon Bhaban on Noor Ahmad Road in Kazir Dewri, Chattogram.The rally was presided over by A.M. Nazim Uddin, President of Chattogram Divisional Labor Party, and conducted by General Secretary Sheikh Nurullah Bahar. The keynote speaker was Chattogram City Corporation Mayor Dr. Shahadat Hossain.
